DescriptionUnlike winemakers who take their shoes off to crush the grapes, adobe makers apparently dig right in shoes and all when they go to work to mix up ingredients for adobe blocks. Muddy foot, shoe and all, belongs to a participants in a project at Kyrene de Las Lomas Elementary School, where students - aided by Maricopa Indian Reservation overseers - were busily building an adobe sandwich house this week.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G8-B.
