DescriptionFrom a photo caption appearing in Tempe Daily News, September 11, 1978:Built For The Desert - Jim Cunningham (right), owner of Brandwood Cars, shows off one of the off-road racing cars whose chassis was manufactured at his plant at 4319 East University, Phoenix, just over the border from Tempe, to Arizona Society of Automotive Engineers members (from left) Jim Thompson, Phoenix; Gary Wilson, Glendale; Glen Taylor and Art Lamont, both Tempe. Cunningham, who is a nationally known race driver as well as racing car builder, was guest speaker for the ASAE's first meeting of fall, Thursday, at Monti's La Casa Vieja restaurant in Tempe, and brought along the race car as a display.
