DescriptionAuto-matically pleased, from Tempe Daily News, April 5, 1986 - Giving out checks to charities is a monthy event for the Earnhardt family, whose Valley auto dealership give $5 to charity for each car sold during the month. Gathering in March at the Tempe dealership to give and get February's donations were, from left, Hal Earnhardt; David Saar, who picked up a check for Childsplay, a Tempe-based professional theater company for young audiences; Jim Earnhardt; Kathy Hudson, special events coordinator of Chandler Association for Retarded Citizens, also a recipient; young 'Bull' Earnhardt, granddad Tex Earnhardt; and Father Frank Similk, of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Phoenix, which was given a check for its building fund.
