DescriptionTaken from Tempe Daily News - Tuesday February 21, 1978:Representatives of a trio of Tempe new car dealerships weren't ganging up to try and outsell each other's automobile makes to (from right) Tempe YMCA Executive Director Ralph Fish and Dr. John Waters, past chairman of the YMCA board and superintendent of Tempe Union High School District. They got together to surprise the YMCA and its sustaining membership campaign chairman Dr. Waters with a trio of checks to aid the YMCA board, and Fay Hall, business manager subbing for "Tex" Earnhardt of Earnhardt Ford presented $500 checks and Tim Dana, of Dana Brothers, added another $300. Chapman had challenged the other car dealers to join him in support of the Y.
