DescriptionFrom a photograph caption appearing in Tempe Daily News, March 11, 1978:For Distinguished Service - Tempe YMCA presented annual awards to a number of adults who have served that organization well during a recognition dinner at Fiesta Inn, Thursday. Receiving distinguished service awards at the event were (from left) Tom Sasser, program award; Dr. Stan Settles, lay leadership award; and Dr. John Waters, who received award as chairman for just-completed annual YMCA sustaining membership enrollment campaign. At right is dinner guest Larry Pelesh, Phoenix, Metropolitan area YMCA general director. Among others honored during evening were Dick Perrine, Ron Walters, Jerry Chapman, Elden Barmore, Davie Kies, Ginger Hadley and Chuck Himbo.
