DescriptionFrom a photo caption appearing on Page B2 of the 'Applause' section of the Tempe Daily News, Wednesday, July 24, 1985:And that's no bull - Last year's Arizona March of Dimes poster child, Tabitha Groll, 98, may not have been able to count that high but she knew the numbers on the check turned over to her by Tex Earnhardt added up to lots of money for the March of Dimes fight against birth defects. Earnhardt's Ford dealership in Tempe raised $62,700 for this year's telethon-the largest single donation ever from a privately held corporation to that national fund raiser. Earnhardt held a month-long Sell-a-thon preceding the telethon and donated $100 for every vehicle sold.
