DescriptionFrom a photo caption in Tempe Daily News, Tuesday, October 10, 1978:Too Close For Comfort - Tempe Fire Captain Dan Saporiti (left) and Fire Engineer Bob McKinion give young Christopher and Tanya Day, children of Tempe City Planner Terry Day and his wife, a first-hand lesson in fire safety and fire prevention, while looking over debris from fire which started in a home across the alley and destroyed part of the fence, trees and shrubs in the backyard at the Day home. In observance of Tire Prevention Week this week, firemen are taking their messages on fire safety and prevention to school children throughout the city.
