Philip Dexter was a Phoenix man who worked for Del Webb. The scrapbook begins with the opening of Big Surf, 9/11/1969, including stories and reviews in Alabama and Arizona newspapers. It gives background on the original idea, plans, operation, size, and plans for others; notes that world champion surfers came. Includes a Sports Illustrated cover story from 11/10/1969, p. 63, and article from the October issue of Arizona Business and Industry, p. 102.Status
