DescriptionFrom the 1996 Tempe History Museum time capsule, a letter addressed to the citizens of Tempe which was written on September 21, 1996 from the Mayor and City Council of Tempe at the time. The letter, though written in 1996, is meant to be read by Tempeans in 2021 and coincides with the 150th anniversary of the city in the corresponding year. The letter also emphasizes community and says Tempe's strength comes from it. The letter is signed by Tempe's mayor, Neil G. Giuliano, and the City Council: Dennis Cahill (Vice-Mayor), Ben Arredondo, Joseph Lewis, Carol Smith, Linda Spears, and Joe Spracale (all Council members).Status
