Description2021 City of Tempe Diversity Award Winner Joseph Delgardo as a freshman at Northeastern University, Joseph Delgardo was introduced to Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. just after Dr. King had finished speaking at the Roxbury Church in Boston. After hearing Dr. King, Joseph made a vow to live his life in service to others. He has dedicated his time and energy getting people registered to vote in Arizona. He has registered thousands of people at ASU as well as at the Aloha Festival, the Salute to Service events, Juneteenth and the AGC Collectors Club of Arizona. Joseph was recently appointed to the Arizona Commission on African American Affairs. He has helped form future leaders by inviting over 500 middle and high school students to visit the Arizona State Capitol to learn about state government.Status
