Built in 1897 for the Pugh family - husband Charles, wife Addie, and daughter Hazel - the house is located at 356 N. 2nd Avenue in Phoenix (the west side of 2nd Avenue, between Fillmore Street and Van Buren Street). Although popularly believed to have been built in 1895, the Queen Anne Victorian-style home was actually constructed in 1897 (the architect's name is unknown). In the 1980s, the home was restored and opened as the 1895 House Restaurant - near the end of the decade, if became Goldie's 1895 House under a new owner.
