BiographyCame to Tempe on a wagon train from Arkansas with their five children and the Walker family, and settled in Prescott, Arizona, in 1875. They decided to move to Phoenix, but met Charles Trumbull Hayden, who persuaded them to move to Tempe. They homesteaded land in the Tempe area and built an adobe house near what is now Rural and Broadway.BIO-Holmesley
