BiographyArrived in Tempe in 1876. Came to Arizona in 1875 from Arkansas with her parents and five brothers and sisters. The family spent a year in Prescott, then came to Tempe in November 1876. They homesteaded southeast of Tempe in 1877.
Enrolled at the Territorial Normal School in 1886.
