DescriptionFrom an article/photograph published by Tempe Daily News, April 22, 1977:

Join Us For A Book? -

Calling attention to the fact that this is National Library Week, and a good time to visit Tempe Public Library if you haven't in a spell, are Carminati school fifth grader Christy Rollins (left) and Connolly school eighth grader Mark Daniels. The two young people just collected a special book bonus from the library - three paperback books each, to take home permanently. The paperbacks were Christy and Mark's prizes as winners in first through sixth grade and seventh through 12th grade divisions, respectively, of Library Week bookmark designing contest. Entered bookmarks were judged on originality, imagination and appropriateness by members of the Library Advisory Board. All entries are on display at the library through April.
The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G7-B.
