DescriptionThis is a bookmark for the Old Town Books bookstore, which was located on 518 S. Mill Avenue in Tempe. According to the bookmark, Old Town Books had "Old, Used and Out-of-Print Books" and was also a search service. Old Town Books was opened by ASU History Professor Chris Smith on 7th Street in downtown Tempe in 1984. He moved the store to its well-known Mill Avenue location in 1987. After 38 years, Old Town Books closed after Smith passed away in 2022. The entire inventory of the store was sold, with proceeds going to support the Tempe Public Library and various local nonprofit organizations.
