Tempe Sunrise Kiwanis Club Major Emphasis chairman Greg Mastin (left) congratulates Tempe Patrolman Joseph Timmons, selected as April's "Officer of the Month" for the club, after Mastin and Sunrise President Ernie Stortz (right) had presented the policeman with award plaque. Crime prevention is major emphasis for Kiwanis this year, and recognizing Tempe police officers for their outstanding efforts in that area is one phase of the Sunrise Kiwanis Club's project.
