DescriptionMembers of Tempe High School's Kalai Theta girls' service organization went all out to help another girls' group - Tempe Girls' Club. Using proceeds from bake sales and the drawing offering of a Bicentennial quilt members had made, Kalai Thetans purchased softball chest and face guards, a catcher's mitt and three bats and presented them to the Girls' Club for use at TGC's new quarters in the 1600 block of South Hardy Drive. Girls' Club director Susan Davis (2nd from right) accepts gifts from (from left) Becky Rosales, incoming president of Kalai Theta, and just-graduated Annette Bouwer, who served this past schools year as president of the Tempe High group. Kalai Theta advisor Gail Briscoe (for right), THS faculty member, was a please onlooker.
