Flag Tribute -

Tempe Elks Lodge Esteemed Leading Knight Matthew V. Ambrasino (left) puts finishing touches to a floral Bell of Liberty as part of program for Flag Day ceremony held at Elks hall Sunday evening. Exalted Ruler Anthony Gersitz (right) conducted the traditional ceremonies, with assistance of fellow officers. The Elks Flag Day program, which attracted between 75 and 100 guests, also included a Flag Day address by Roland Wilpitz, Grand Elks Lodge esteemed loyal knight; a history of the flag read by Max Connolly and highlighted by a display of various flags of the country's history, presented by Boy Scout 273 members; patriotic music and a "Tribute to the Flag" by Jack Lane, past exalted ruler.
