Arizona Secretary of State and soon to be Governor Wes Bolin wields a giant pair of scissors to formally open new headquarters and manufacturing facilities of Courier Terminal Systems, Inc., which becomes the largest non-governmental employer in the city with its move to HoHoKam Industrial Park in Tempe. The company, in business in Phoenix before its decision to move to Tempe, employs approximately 1,000 workers. Joining in ribbon-cutting preceding open house for invited guests at Thursday's formal opening are (from left) D.P. Booth, chairman of the board of Courier's parent company, Boothe Courier Corporation; Tempe Mayor Bill LoPiano; and (right) J. David Hann, president of both Boothe Courier Corporation and Courier Terminal Systems, Inc. Phoenix Boys Choir entertained before the ceremony and tours of the new facility.
