DescriptionFrom a photograph caption in Tempe Daily News, October 11, 1977:

'Wurst Party Yet' -

That annual "knockwurst" feast and polka party staged by Tempe's Sister City Corporation to raise funds for its student exchange program - The Way Out West Oktoberfest - was a huge success this year. Staged at Tempe Racquet Club for the first time, the Saturday event drew a big crowd - and everybody had a big time; including Pam Crawford (2nd from right), even though she almost made it into the swimming pool! Stepping in to save "Miz Kitty" from Shirlee King (left) and Alicia Merriam (right) was Oktoberfest King Rudy Campbell.
