DescriptionTaken from Tempe Daily News - Tuesday February 21, 1978:

Recent heavy rains played havoc with the landscaping of many Tempe homeowner's yards - but few had the problems of John Ewing, 1893 East Vaughn, and his neighbors. Ewing came home last week to find the cement block wall in his backyard had sagged and crumbled. According to Ewing, at least five homes in the immediate area also suffered from the falling wall syndrome while at least three others are borderline cases. Rain apparently caused the soil to settle, throwing off the balance of the cement block walls, Ewing is not sure if the developers will foot the cost of repair.
