DescriptionTaken from Tempe Daily News - Monday, February 27, 1978: Enrolled in McClintock High School's Distributive Education program, learning about the world of retail business by getting on-the-job training as well as classroom work in that field, seven students above proved they are learning well. They were among 10 McClintock DECA Club members earning finalists awards in competitions at recent Regional DECA Conference held in Mesa. They include (front l to r) Kris Prather, a junior, reporter for the MHS DECA; Laurie Hoge, a senior, who took a first place award overall in "Fashion and Apparel" in the conference competitions; Jenni Nelson, senior, DECA vice president; (back l to r) Dane Perry, senior, DECA president at McClintock; Tony Boscarino, Mike Dixon, and Marty Vining, all juniors at MHS.
