DescriptionRabbi David Pinkwasser dedicated a sacred Torah recently given to Temple Emanuel, the first Jewish synagogue in Tempe. The Holy Scroll was donated to the new congregation by Temple Israel of Wynnfield, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Craig Pearson and family. Dr. Pearson was a former student at Temple Israel and the Torah was passed on to recognize the work in establishing a new synagogue from one generation to the next. Mr. and Mrs. Pearson and nine-year-old Scotty dedicated the Torah.See 2001.19.3054. Apparently related to 3056.
