An educated campaign - Arizona State Superintendents of Public Education Carolyn Warner, seated left, came to Tempe to "educate" the city's United Way volunteers at their 1986 UW fund drive kickoff, Friday, and found and educated group ready to welcome her. Among United Way campaigners greeting Warner at a reception following her talk at the campaign kickoff luncheon at Sheraton Plaza Tempe were Jim Hill, seated right, ASU director of community relations; Ralph Goitia, standing left, superintendent of Tempe Elementary School District; and Thomas Parker, Superintendent of Tempe Union High School District.
