DescriptionFrom an article and photo caption appearing on Page A5, 'People', Tempe Daily News, Friday, May 23, 1986:Retiring Principal Carla Lingerfelt admires a comforter presented to her as a surprise farewell gift at Meyer School's recent Founder's Day. Each Meyer class drew designs for the quilt which was tied, sewed and put together by PTA members. Says Lingerfelt, 'they kept it a total surprise and for the whole school to keep a surprise is a surprise.'
