DescriptionFrom an article and photo appearing on Page A6, 'Applause', Tempe Daily News, Saturday, May 10, 1986:Younger Generation - McKemy Junior High School recently beat 22 schools to win the Maricopa County Science Challenge. Besides winning the top school award, Craig Anderson won the top student award. The McKemy team did not expect to do well because this is the first year it entered. "My kids screamed and hollered and jumped up and down, you thought they'd won the Olympics or something. It was wonderful," said science teacher Meg Davis.
