Tempe’s Hayden Square and the Hackett House are surrounded by scores of visitors and vendors during the 1991 Oktoberfest, hosted by Tempe Sister Cities. From a modest start with around 200 people in a local backyard, Tempe’s Oktoberfest today welcomes more than 150,000 visitors annually.
