DescriptionInterior photographic view of Sri Venkata Krishna Kshetra, 615 S. Beck Ave., Tempe, 85281.
Per Dick George's catalogue notes:

"In operation in smaller quarters in Tempe for about 10 years, the members of this temple attempted to build a larger, permanent facility in Chandler several years ago. They were met, however, with local resistance and abandoned those plans. In 2010 they acquired the Beck Avenue location when the Christian church which had occupied it sold it.
I do not understand the significance of the temples and icons, but the reverence and kindness of the people on the morning of my visit was unmistakable."

Caption from the Tempe 150th Anniversary exhibit:
Hindu dieties Lakshmi, Shiva, and Ganesha preside over the central prayer hall of Sri Venkata Krishna Kshetra Temple. The Hindu house of worship, study, and fellowship opened its doors near University Drive and Priest Drive in Tempe in 2011 after a decade of seeking a long-term home in the southeast Valley.
