DescriptionBrown and tan, round, wooden sign for the Mill Avenue Merchants Association with MAMA written at the top in script and Mill Avenue Merchants Association written in smaller script of the same style below. Known as MAMA, the organization was formed in 1968 as a loose alliance of businesses committed to helping bolster downtown Tempe. They founded the Hayden's Ferry Arts and Crafts Fair that same year, which grew into one of Tempe's largest annual events.MAMA disbanded in 2003.
