DescriptionDesk from the home office of Tempe publisher Max Connolly, who lived at 212 E. 14th St. in Tempe. Made by Cliff Brooks, a local carpenter who was the brother of Erma Connolly (Frank Connolly's wife). Cliff Brooks built the furniture used in the Tempe Daily News office.

Max Connolly did much publishing work and community projects from his home office.
