DescriptionProfessional portrait of a young Dr. Fenn J Hart, Tempe's first mayor, and his wife Rosa Brown Hart in their younger years, there is a background prop of a pond landscape. Dr. Hart is wearing his medical school Prince Albert suit with dress boots, and is holding a black hat in his left hand. He has a full head of black hair, a black mustache and thick black beard. Mrs. Hart has her right arm cupped around Dr. Harts left arm, she is dressed in a dark long sleeve button up corset shirt with a white collar and bow, long black pleated skirt with a patterned underskirt and pleated trim that reaches to the ground. Her hair is dark, curly, and pulled up in a dark feathered hat, and she is wearing black leather gloves. The photo is undated, but based on Dr. and Mrs. Hart's appearance, the photo was likely taken circa their wedding date of 12/18/1888.Status
