BiographyIn 1932 he entered Tempe High School, where he was a good student and football player. Volunteered for service with the Army air corps in World War II. Was a crew chief and top turret gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress. He was shot down and killed over Biscay Bay, France, at age 24. He was Tempe's first war casualty.BIO-Harris
