BiographyA graduate of Tempe High School, he was attending Arizona State Teachers College in 1940 when he joined the Arizona National Guard. In 1942 he was sent to Texas for pilot training, and promoted to Captain. While flying a mission over France, he was shot down and killed on June 10, 1944. He was awarded the Purple Heart.BIO-Moraga
