BiographyProfessor of Educational Sociology at Arizona State University, 1953-1982.
Moved to Arizona in 1952.
Became principal of a middle school in New York at age 21. Received a Bachelor's degree from Upsala College, New Jersey; a Master's degree from St. Lawrence University, New York; and a Ph.D. from Cornell University.
He was credited with starting a driver-education and safety program at ASU, which was discontinued when he retired. Served on the governing board of Tempe Elementary School District No. 3, 1959-1975, a time of unprecedented expansion.
Member of the Tempe Lions Club.
Tempe Elementary School District No. 3 named Rover School in honor of him and his wife, Beatrice Bennet Rover.
Moved to Glassboro, Maryland, in 1988.
