Came to the Salt River Valley in 1886.
Homesteaded 160 acres near Mesa, and eventually acquired a total of 640 acres.
Served as president of the Utah Canal Company, and supervised construction of the Utah Extension and the Eureka Canal.
One of the original incorporators of the Salt River Valley Water Users Association, and served on its Board of Governors.
Representative in the Fourth Arizona Legislature,
1919-1920.
