BiographyFarmer, State Land Commissioner.
Came to Tempe c1906.
Came to the United States in 1906, and settled in Tempe. In 1911, he started working as a foreman for the Bartlett-Heard Cattle Company. By 1914, he owned a citrus farm near Baseline Road. He was a member of the Board of Governors of the Salt River Valley Water Users Association, 1919-1935 and 1952-1957, and became State Land Commissioner in 1957. He was also a member of the state committee for the USDA Farm Program, 1935-1956, the Agricultural Council for Arizona State College, c1953-1958, the Farm Bureau Board, and the Board of Directors of the ASU Foundation, 1960. He was selected as Man of the Year in Agriculture by the Arizona Future Farmers Association in 1957.
Member of the Masonic Lodge.
