BiographyMusic teacher.
Came to Arizona at age 12, c1890.
Attended Tempe High School and graduated from the Territorial Normal School and from the Arizona School of Music. Taught music with honors. She assisted her husband in setting the poem, "Home on the Range," to music, which was copyrighted and recorded by the The Victor Phonograph Company, and became a popular song.
In 1923 , -'26 , -'28 , -'32 lived at 619 E 8th Street and McAllister; she eventually moved to Long Beach, California. See also: William M. Goodwin.
