BiographyCattle rancher.
Came to Tempe in 1913.
Started a ranch southwest of Tempe (located along Priest Drive, between Baseline and Southern).
About 1923, the house in the middle of the ranch burned down, and they moved to 1002 S. McAllister, the house of his father-in-law, J. O. Carter. Was a farmer in 1923, 1925, -'31 and lived at R D 1 in 1923, 1002 S McAllister Ave in 1925, 1928., '30, '31, '32.
In 1933, he acquired a half section on Broadway Road, between 40th and 48th streets, where he established a feed lot and dairy (This lot was later sold to Oscar Walls). In 1943, he had a heat stroke and sold his Tempe ranch. He purchased a cattle ranch near Rifle, Colorado, and lived there 1944-1960. He and his wife Georgia, returned to Tempe in 1960. He was an active member of the First Christian Church for 60 years.
