Came to Tempe c1899.
Farmed in Kansas (1869-1894), Mesa (1894-1899), and Kyrene (1899-1930). Came to Arizona from Paola, Kansas, by train in 1894. Rented land near Kyrene in 1900.
Served on the Kyrene School District Governing Board, 1899-1902. Was a Director of the Tempe National Bank, a Director of the Tempe Irrigating Canal Co. Treasurer of the Tempe Pumping Co. Served as a Trustee of the Tempe Union High School when it was first established, c1908-1912.
Was a Tempe City Councilman, 1916-1918.
Was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge.
Lived at 7th Street and Maple (c1910-1911) and 27 E. 7th Street (c1915-1930).
