BiographyIn 1923 was a sstudent at Normal School.Graduated from the Tempe Normal School in 1924 and started teaching at age 18 on a cattle ranch near Tucson.Teacher in 1925, -'6, '29. In 1929 was a teacher in Public School. Earned a B.A. degree from ASTC in 1936, and an M.A. degree from ASC in 1950.
Met Tom Harter at an art school in Los Angeles, California, and married him in 1930. They moved to New York City in 1930, where they both worked as commercial artists. They returned to Tempe in 1937, and Tom began teaching at ASTC. She returned to a teaching career, as a critic and art teacher at the Payne Training School, and at Chandler Junior High School, Chandler High School, and Guadalupe School. Retired in 1963.
Wrote and illustrated three children's books.
Lived in the Niels Petersen House, 1951-1968.
She was a long-time member of the Tempe Historical Society. About 1976 she recorded several oral history interviews with early Tempe settlers and and wrote a series of newspaper articles based
on them for the Tempe Daily News.
Lived on 8th Street, c1910. Lived at 922 Forest Ave in 1925, -'6
