BiographyFarm laborer.
Quit school after the third grade. Moved from Hermosillo, Sonora, to Douglas, Arizona, and eventually, to Tempe. Worked at the Birchett Ranch near Price and University from 1924 until his death in 1959. He also worked as a custodian for Tempe School District No. 3. In 1934, he bought 3/4 acre in SW4 section 13, on Transmission Rd. (now University Dr.) for $75 and built an adobe house. He died in a farm accident in 1959. In 1974, Tempe School District No. 3 named a school in honor of Alejandro and Josefa Arredondo.
