BiographyPresident of Escalante Senior Center Site Council in 1986. Instructor in State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Recipient of Outstanding Senior Woman award in Mesa.
As the mother of a deaf son, she learned sign language and was the founder and first president of the Hearing Education and Rehabilitation Society (HEARS). Helped start Phoenix Day School for the Deaf and first recreation program for the deaf in Tri-City Community Service Center in Mesa. She has been involved in helping the deaf voluntarily or as paid Department of Economic Security social services worker. Interprets for deaf in court.
