BiographyArrived in Tempe c1877.
Carpenter; cabinetmaker, undertaker.
In 1877, left Blue Springs, Missouri, with others members of his extended family to go to New Mexico, and eventually, to Tempe.
They arrived in Phoenix in Oct 1877.
Served as Tempe Justice of the Peace,
c1918-1919.
Member of the Knights of Pythias and Odd Fellows Lodge. President of the Old Settlers of Tempe Association. Commonly known as Uncle Jerry.
Lived on First Street in 1910. In 1931 had a P O box.
