DescriptionFrom a photo caption appearing in Tempe Daily News June 14, 1978:Token Of Appreciation - Tom Dutson (right), chairman of the recent appreciation dinner held a Fiesta Inn for retiring Tempe Mayor Bill LoPiano, burned over proceeds from that dinner in the form of a $425 check to the mayor yesterday. Estimated 300 Tempeans and guests from neighboring cities attended the dinner to "toast and roast" the mayor as he ends 18 years of public service to the city.
