DescriptionFrom an article and photo caption appearing in Tempe Daily News, July 27, 1978:Making It Official - Tempe Sister City exchange students Kathy Matz (left) and Kim Scow brought greetings and the gift of a plate with a scene of the Old Stone Bridge in Regensburg, Germany - to former Tempe Mayor Bill LoPiano from Regensburg's oberburgermeister, or head mayor, on their return from six weeks in the German city. And the two teens also brought word from Regensburg Lord Mayor Friedrich Vibacher that Regensburg-Tempe Sister City pairing is now official, with signing of the Sister City charter by the German city's town council just this month.
