DescriptionFrom an article and photo caption (Caring For Each Other) appearing in the August 7, 1978 issue of Tempe Daily News:Caring For Each Other - Susana Marquez (center), director of the Escalante Senior Center, enjoys a moment with two of the center's oldest citizens, 92-year-young Cuquita Romero (left) and Yuri Schehonsky. Susana believes the senior citizens nutrition center should provide more than just good nutrition for its participants - helping them develop psychologically and spiritually as well as physically. By spirituality, she says she means "the caring for each other" and "I think the people at the center really care for each other...love each other."
