DescriptionFrom a photo caption appearing in Tempe Daily News, August 31, 1978:The Long, Long Line - Long lines are almost a way of life on the Arizona State University campus when the new semester begins - with more than 36,000 students to accommodate. And one of the biggest lines on campus this week greeted ASU football ticket office staff Wednesday morning as students (above) waited to pick up season tickets for ASU's initial year in the big PAC-10 conference. Many of the students had begun lining up Tuesday - and camped out overnight to be sure they’d be in the line-up early when the ticket office opened for business.
