DescriptionFrom TDN caption for 2001.19.3787-3788:Army ROTC cadets at Arizona State University decided the "old swimmin' hole" was never like this as juniors in the ROTC program participated in a first-time swim test at the ASU swimming pool, Saturday. In top photo (see 2001.19.3788), cadet jumps backward into pool for a Ranger swim test, requiring him to take a 25-meter swim with M-16 rifle and web gear. In photo below, female cadet, MS3 Kenna Young of Phoenix is completing drown-proofing survival test in which she had to remove web gear under water.
