DescriptionWhen Gayle Lagman was offered a job as director of nursing in a Wisconsin nursing home back in the '70s, her first response was a flat no. She had just returned to school to get a degree in psychology after 10 years in nursing followed by time off to start a family.

Gayle now oversees a staff of 250 and 620 residents at Friendship Village where she has been executive director since September.
