DescriptionAbstract and colorful painting of students gathered together with their teacher. The students fill the frame gathered around a table, each holding papers, pencils, and books. They look up towards the teacher standing at the chalkboard who is pointing to the lettering "ABC". In the background is a large bookcase as well as the doorway into the hallway where someone can be seen tossing their books into the air as they pass the Library. Adhered directly to the panel are found objects that fill in colored blocks of the painting, for instance a green button and a gray airplane."S. Mindrum-Logan set out to honor the residents of Tempe when they created their series of art buses called, "Everyday Heroes." They believe that the heroes in the community are the people who live there and that a community is as good as its people. In collaboration with students from Corona del Sol High School, they painted tributes to Tempe residents who contribute to the success and growth to the community."
